Passing The Ritz- Original Painting
£250.00
I completed this painting in 2017 as part of my ongoing London series. This unique London painting titled Passing The Ritz, features a black cab passing in front of the iconic London hotel The Ritz.
Passing The Ritz: A London Scene Painting
In October 2017, I was on my way to visit the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition when I turned and saw a London taxi in the traffic so I took a quick snap with my phone. (I just love the old London Taxis). It was only later when I came home that I realised that the renowned hotel, The Ritz, was in the background. I knew then that I had to paint it. I enjoyed the challenge of the lines and architecture of the building whilst keeping the reflections of the London taxi.
Painted on a thin edge canvas so no frame is needed and it has hooks and string in place so it is ready to hang. I have signed the painting on the front and there is a certificate of authenticity on the back.
